Our vision at Somerfield-Smith is to create an organisation that feeds back into the local community.
We want to work hard and deliver great products and great service and we then want this effort, from both us and our customers, to benefit that very same community.
All too often big businesses take profits out of the communities from which those profits are earned. Not only do those profits leave the community but they can even leave the country!
There are many ways in which we hope to achieve this objective. Our first step is to contribute directly to charities and worthy causes within a local area. Whilst the bigger, national charities do great work our aim is to donate to those who are based in, and work within, your area. Often it is the smaller charities which require the biggest help.
Periodically we will nominate a specific charity or worthy cause to whom we will donate a proportion of profits. Hopefully we will work in other ways with these charities to the benefit of everyone.
Over time we hope to pull together a powerful network, combining industrious work with community spirit.
